The 300 Initiative

The Campbell High School Band Program 300 Initiative is an exciting effort focused on recruitment and reclamation to grow the band program to an enrollment of 300 student musicians. We’re calling on all students with prior band experience to join us! This includes:

• New students at Campbell High School looking to be part of an incredible musical community.

• Former CHS band members ready to return and make music with us again.

 

Whether you're passionate about music, looking to reconnect, or eager to try something new, the CHS Band Program has a place for you! Let’s work together to build something extraordinary.

Here are the details to being a part of the 300:

• Fill out the 300 Initiative Form to submit your information to the band directors. This will ensure that you are added to a band class

• All new students will be placed in the Concert Band. This includes returning students that have been out for a year or more.

• Students will have the opportunity to audition into the Symphonic Band or Wind Band. See the audition criteria below.

• You may have to supply your own instrument due to limited CHS band inventory.

  • There are several options available. See a band director for more details.​

Audition Requirements​

• Play the following major scales and arpeggios using quarter note - eighth note pattern

  • G, C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb

• Sight reading​

  • Percussion will sight read a snare and a mallet excerpt.

• ​Scheduling information will be released to you via email once you complete the 300 Initiative Form.
