Summer Marching Band Camp

ABOUT

Band camp is the training ground for the Legion of Boom. The purpose of camp is to learn and strengthen marching fundamentals, drill techniques, and performance skills prior to the start of school. The Legion of Boom marching band is a competition band, and fine tuning the details is essential. During camp you will have a chance to bond and grow as a band family as we learn music, drill, and routines.

The Summer Marching Band Camp is MANDATORY for all students participating in the marching band program. Please contact the directors if you have any questions about camp attendance.

Requirements

Ability to read musical works
Two years of playing experience
- Less than two years may require an audition.
Strong work ethic and discipline
Attend summer marching band camp
Ability to learn new concepts and have fun

Summer Camp Schedule

Weekdays July 14th through July 29th. See "Band Camp Packet" for detailed schedule.
Registration:
- July 8 & 9, 2026 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Leadership, Drumline, Front Ensemble, Color Guard, Rookies (new students), and other designated students
- July 8 - 10, 2026: 7am - 5pm
Week One - FULL ENSEMBLE
- July 13 - 17, 2025 - 7am - 7pm
Week Two - FULL ENSEMBLE
- July 20 - 24, 2025: 7am - 7pm
Week Three - FULL ENSEMBLE
- July 28 - 29, 2026: 4pm - 9pm
- Camp Preview Performance
