Kristen McDaniel

Born and raised in Metro Atlanta, Kristen McDaniel is a proud graduate of the illustrious Howard University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health at Morehouse School of Medicine, where her interests center around health equity, community impact, and service.

Kristen began her color guard career in 2017 at North Cobb High School, where she had the honor of serving as Captain during her junior year in 2019. She later became an active member of Reverie OPEN Independent Winter guard from 2020–2021, where she refined her technique, strengthened her artistry, and expanded her performance skill set.

During her time at Howard, Kristen was a dedicated member and two-year captain of the S.H.O.W.T.I.M.E. Marching Band’s Flashy Flag Squad, where she cultivated a passion for leadership, mentorship, and excellence both on and off the field. She is also a Spring 2023 initiate of the Eta Delta Chapter Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, Incorporated and remains an active member of the Tau Beta Sigma Atlanta Alumni Association.

Through her leadership, mentorship, and service, Kristen is deeply passionate about promoting the welfare, longevity, and continued growth of band programs while pouring back into the communities that helped shape her journey. She is committed to creating supportive and empowering spaces where young performers can develop confidence, discipline, and artistry, while inspiring the next generation to lead with purpose, passion, and pride.
